REVISITED SILENCE

Concept and design of the cover and interiors for the DVD series Revisited Silence. The starting point of the project are the films of the beginning of 20th century, a cinema that was never silent, but composed of multiple sounds, from music-hall pianos to audience’s murmurs. This audiovisual series proposes an exercise of reconstruction of the movies’ sound from that time based on contemporary music artists’ proposals. The first DVD was focused on the film Mother, of Russian filmmaker Vsevolod Pudovkin. DeBoom Studio made the project together with Fresh Sound Records.
